Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. McSweeney was born in Cork, Ireland and has lived in New Jersey since 1986 when he started practicing Chiropractic Medicine in the city of Newark. He opened the door to his private practice “Mount Prospect Health Center” in 1989 focusing on family and general chiropractic and then expanding to acupuncture and pain management. His bi-cultural background and focus on community collaboration and participation has led him to many volunteer opportunities and community leadership roles. Dr. McSweeney graduated from undergraduate school at McNeese University in Lake Charles Louisiana and received his chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College.  Dr. McSweeney is certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia, he is a member of both, the New Jersey Chiropractic Society and American Chiropractic Society; he is also a board member of the Mount Prospect Partnership and director of Mayor Quintana’s Health Program

Physical Therapy

Dr. Alita Reyna, P.T.

Alita graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the Philippines in 1998. She has worked with multiple medical doctors under different specialties in treating patients with various medical conditions. Working closely with doctors in managing post-operative cases (hip and knee replacements, rotator cuff repairs, neck and lumbar fusion and knee arthroscopies) she is also very experienced in managing patients with common musculoskeletal complaints.   She enjoys working with patients, collaborating on goals to help them get back on their feet using the most effective, current and evidence-based treatment approach.

She is currently enrolled in a transitional Doctorate Program for PT and is scheduled to complete it in April 2018. She is also a  member of American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) joining its Orthopedic  and Private Practice Sections.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
